All students appear for three papers.

- Questions will be based on the Core chemistry content. It is also assessed outside the school campus.
Extended Candidates appear for Examination 2 and examination 4
- Examination 2 is of 45 minutes in duration. It consists of a 30% weightage which is 40 marks of MCQs. All questions will be from the Extended Chemistry content. It is examined externally.
- Examination 4 is of 1 hour and 15 minutes. It consists of 50% theory which is 80 marks. Quick and structured questions are inquired in this paper. Questions asked in this exam are based on the Extended chemistry syllabus, which includes both core and supplement. Students are examined externally.
