H1 and H2 Mathematics — What Each Involves
H2 Mathematics (Syllabus 9758)
This is one of the heaviest subjects in the University Admission Score, and it is examined across two separate three-hour papers.
The first paper is entirely Pure Mathematics. The second combines Pure Mathematics (40 marks) with Probability and Statistics (60 marks). A graphing calculator is assumed throughout, and answers obtained directly from it are accepted unless a question states otherwise. H1 Mathematics (Syllabus 8865)
H1 is a single three-hour paper. Pure Mathematics occupies Section A (40 marks), while Probability and Statistics make up Section B (60 marks).
