Sanya M. Arora IB BM

I am Sanya M. Arora, an International Baccalaureate educator with a passion for Business Management, Humanities, and student mentorship. Over the years, I have worked closely with

students across different age groups and learning pathways, helping them develop critical-thinking skills, academic confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

For me, education is not simply about mastering a syllabus. It is about helping students become thoughtful decision-makers, confident communicators, and responsible global citizens who can apply their learning beyond the classroom.

My goal is to create meaningful learning experiences that encourage curiosity, independent thinking, and lifelong learning.

My Journey in International Education

My involvement in international education spans more than a decade and has given me the opportunity to work in a variety of academic, administrative, and student-support roles.

Currently, I serve at Apeejay School International, New Delhi, as:

  • IBDP Business Management Facilitator
  • MYP Individuals & Societies Facilitator
  • Member of the DP Examination Department

These roles allow me to contribute not only to classroom teaching but also to assessment processes, academic standards, and student success within the IB Diploma Programme.

Before joining the IB teaching framework, I taught Business Studies and Entrepreneurship at leading schools in New Delhi, helping students develop a strong understanding of business concepts and real-world applications.

Building a Strong Foundation in Business and Education

My academic background combines business, management, education, and student development.

I hold:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
  • Master of Commerce (M.Com.)
  • Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.)

These qualifications have provided me with a strong understanding of business principles, educational practices, communication, and student guidance.

Over the years, I have continued to strengthen my expertise through professional development opportunities, including:

  • IB Category 2 Business Management Training
  • IB Category 2 CAS Training

These experiences have enhanced my understanding of inquiry-based learning, assessment practices, and student-centered teaching within the IB framework.

Learning from the IB World

An important chapter of my professional journey began at Singapore International School, where I worked closely with the IB Diploma Programme administration team.

This experience gave me valuable exposure to:

  • IB systems and processes
  • CAS programme management
  • University applications
  • Student support services
  • Examination administration
  • Academic counselling

Working behind the scenes allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of how students can be supported academically, personally, and professionally throughout their IB journey.

This broader perspective continues to influence my work as an educator today.

Bringing Business Concepts to Life

Business is one of the most dynamic and relevant subjects students can study.

In my classes, I help students move beyond textbook definitions and understand how business decisions impact organizations, communities, economies, and society as a whole.

I regularly incorporate:

  • Business case studies
  • Real-world examples
  • Current events
  • Market trends
  • Entrepreneurial stories
  • Global business challenges

These connections help students see the practical value of what they are learning while developing stronger analytical and decision-making skills.

I encourage students to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, and explore different perspectives before reaching conclusions.

Supporting Students Through the IB Diploma Programme

A significant part of my work involves helping students succeed in the IB Diploma Programme.

When teaching IBDP Business Management, I focus on:

  • Conceptual understanding
  • Business analysis
  • Case-study interpretation
  • Structured argument development
  • Research skills
  • Examination preparation

I also guide students through Internal Assessments and research-based tasks, helping them organize ideas effectively and present their findings with confidence.

My aim is to help students become independent learners who can apply business concepts to complex real-world situations.

Encouraging Inquiry Through Individuals & Societies

As an MYP Individuals & Societies Facilitator, I enjoy helping students understand the social, political, historical, and economic forces that shape our world.

My lessons encourage students to:

  • Investigate global issues
  • Explore multiple viewpoints
  • Analyze evidence critically
  • Develop informed perspectives
  • Make meaningful connections between ideas

I believe Humanities education plays a vital role in helping students become thoughtful and responsible members of society.

Through inquiry-based learning, students learn how to ask meaningful questions and engage with the world around them in a deeper way.

Beyond Academics: Mentoring Future Pathways

One aspect of my career that I value greatly is student mentorship.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have worked in career counselling and university guidance, helping students make informed decisions about their future studies and career goals.

Through these experiences, I have supported students with:

  • University pathway planning
  • Goal setting
  • Career exploration
  • Decision-making skills
  • Personal development

I believe education should prepare students not only for examinations but also for the opportunities and challenges they will encounter beyond school.

My Approach to Teaching and Learning

My teaching philosophy is student-centered, inquiry-based, and focused on real-world application.

I encourage students to:

  • Think independently
  • Ask thoughtful questions
  • Participate actively
  • Reflect on their learning
  • Develop confidence in their ideas

My classroom environment is built on mutual respect, collaboration, and curiosity.

Students are encouraged to share perspectives, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn from both successes and mistakes.

This approach helps learners become more confident, self-aware, and academically capable.

The Students I Enjoy Working With Most

I particularly enjoy supporting:

  • IBDP Business Management students
  • MYP Individuals & Societies learners
  • Students working on Internal Assessments
  • Learners interested in business and entrepreneurship
  • Students preparing presentations and research projects
  • Learners seeking stronger analytical skills
  • Students exploring future university pathways
  • Young people who enjoy discussion-based learning

I work especially well with students who want to become more confident communicators and independent thinkers.

My Mission as an Educator

As an educator at My Tuition Hub Academy, my mission is to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in both academic and real-world environments.

Whether I am teaching Business Management, guiding students through research projects, supporting university planning, or facilitating inquiry-based discussions, my focus remains on helping learners become thoughtful, capable, and globally minded individuals.

For me, education is about more than achieving good grades. It is about empowering students to think critically, communicate effectively, make informed decisions, and contribute positively to the world around them.
