I am Nishtha Menghani, a Mathematics educator with over six years of teaching experience and a passion for helping students develop confidence, accuracy, and a genuine understanding of
Mathematics. Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with students from diverse academic backgrounds, helping them strengthen their mathematical foundations and develop a more positive attitude toward the subject.
I believe that every student can succeed in Mathematics when concepts are explained clearly and learning is supported with patience, practice, and encouragement. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students become confident problem-solvers who can approach mathematical challenges with ease.
My Academic Background and Teaching Journey
My educational qualifications have provided me with a strong foundation in both academics and teaching.
I hold:
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
- Master of Commerce (M.Com.)
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)
Alongside my formal qualifications, I have continuously worked to enhance my teaching skills and stay updated with effective learning strategies.
Since 2019, I have been conducting private Mathematics tutoring sessions and online classes for students across different grade levels. Over the years, I have taught learners from India as well as international students from the United States, Dubai, and other global learning environments.
Working with students from different educational systems has helped me understand various learning styles and adapt my teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Making Mathematics Simple and Enjoyable
Many students view Mathematics as a difficult or intimidating subject. I enjoy helping students change that perspective.
I believe Mathematics becomes much easier when students understand the reasoning behind concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas and procedures. My teaching focuses on helping students understand how mathematical ideas work and how they can be applied in different situations.
In my lessons, I encourage students to:
- Ask questions freely
- Explore different solution methods
- Develop logical thinking skills
- Build confidence through practice
- Learn from mistakes without fear
My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable of succeeding.
My Special Interest in Vedic Mathematics
One area that particularly interests me is Vedic Mathematics.
I have successfully completed specialized certification training in Vedic Mathematics and regularly incorporate these techniques into my teaching.
Vedic Mathematics helps students:
- Improve calculation speed
- Strengthen mental math abilities
- Increase numerical confidence
- Reduce calculation errors
- Develop flexibility in problem-solving
Students often find these methods both enjoyable and practical. They not only improve performance in Mathematics but also help learners develop greater confidence when working with numbers.
Supporting Students Across Different Curricula
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students following a variety of curricula and educational systems.
IB Mathematics Support- My teaching approach aligns naturally with the concept-based and inquiry-driven philosophy of the International Baccalaureate.
I help students:
- Develop conceptual understanding
- Strengthen reasoning skills
- Improve problem-solving abilities
- Build confidence with unfamiliar questions
I encourage learners to understand mathematical concepts deeply rather than relying on memorization.
IGCSE Mathematics- I support IGCSE students by helping them build strong mathematical foundations and develop the analytical skills needed for success in international assessments.
My focus includes:
- Concept clarity
- Application-based learning
- Logical reasoning
- Examination preparation
Having worked with students from the United States, Dubai, and other international backgrounds, I understand how to adapt lessons to different curriculum requirements and learning expectations.
This flexibility allows me to provide personalized support regardless of a student’s educational system.
My Teaching Philosophy
I follow a student-centered teaching approach where learning is built around the individual needs of each student.
One of my strengths is simplifying difficult concepts. I break complex topics into smaller, manageable steps that allow students to learn comfortably without feeling overwhelmed.
My classes focus on:
- Conceptual understanding
- Logical reasoning
- Problem-solving skills
- Mathematical confidence
- Independent thinking
- Consistent practice
For younger learners, I often use visual explanations, engaging activities, and interactive exercises to make Mathematics more enjoyable and accessible.
How I Help Students Improve
Regular practice and feedback play an important role in my teaching process.
To monitor progress and provide targeted support, I use:
- Worksheets
- Quizzes
- Practice exercises
- Revision sessions
- Progress assessments
- Individual feedback
These tools help me identify learning gaps early and provide additional support wherever needed.
I also teach effective study habits, time-management skills, and examination strategies that help students perform more confidently during assessments.
Students Who Benefit Most From My Classes
I particularly enjoy working with:
- Primary Mathematics students
- Middle School Mathematics students
- Students who struggle with calculations
- Learners interested in Vedic Mathematics
- Students looking to improve mental math skills
- IB Mathematics students needing additional support
- IGCSE Mathematics students seeking concept clarity
- Students who benefit from step-by-step explanations
- Learners seeking personalized academic guidance
I work especially well with students who feel nervous about Mathematics. Through patience, encouragement, and structured teaching, I help them develop confidence and gradually overcome their challenges.
Creating a Positive Learning Environment
I strongly believe that learning should be a positive and encouraging experience.
In my classes, students are free to ask questions, explore ideas, and learn at their own pace. I strive to create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable making mistakes and growing from them.
Building confidence is just as important as building academic skills. When students believe in their abilities, they become more willing to tackle challenges and achieve success.
My Commitment as an Educator
As a Mathematics educator at My Tuition Hub Academy, I am committed to helping students develop strong mathematical foundations, improve their problem-solving abilities, and become confident learners.
Whether I am teaching primary Mathematics, supporting IGCSE students, introducing Vedic Mathematics techniques, or helping learners strengthen their mental math skills, my focus remains on making Mathematics clear, engaging, and enjoyable.
For me, teaching is about more than solving equations. It is about helping students discover their potential, develop confidence in their abilities, and build skills that will support them throughout their academic journey and beyond.
