I am Pooja Patel, an educator who is passionate about helping students learn with confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm. Over the years, I have worked with students from a wide range of
academic backgrounds and curricula, supporting them as they strengthen their understanding, improve their grades, and develop a positive attitude toward learning.
One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching students discover their own potential. I believe that every child is capable of success when provided with the right guidance, encouragement, and learning environment.
My goal is not simply to help students perform well in school but to help them become confident, independent learners who enjoy the process of learning.
A Strong Academic Foundation in Science and Education
My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in both science and student development.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad, and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from Gujarat University.
My background in science helps me explain concepts clearly and logically, while my experience working with students allows me to present those concepts in ways that are easy to understand and remember.
I have also completed British English training, which has strengthened my communication skills and enhanced my ability to support students in English language development.
Working with Learners Across Different Curricula
One of the strengths I bring to my teaching is my experience working with students from multiple educational systems.
Over the years, I have supported learners following:
- IB Curriculum
- IGCSE Curriculum
I have taught students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 through both one-to-one tutoring and small group sessions.
My experience includes working with students from well-known international schools such as:
- Adani International School
- Ahmedabad International School
- Anand Niketan
Teaching students from different curricula has helped me understand various learning styles, assessment expectations, and academic requirements. It has also taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to suit each learner’s individual needs.
Making Learning Meaningful and Enjoyable
I strongly believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
My classes are carefully planned, interactive, and designed to make learning enjoyable. Rather than focusing only on completing assignments or preparing for tests, I help students understand the concepts behind what they are learning.
I regularly use:
- Interactive discussions
- Visual explanations
- Worksheets and activities
- Real-life examples
- Practice exercises
- Concept-based learning strategies
For students following IB and IGCSE programmes, I encourage inquiry, independent thinking, and active participation. I want students to become confident learners who can ask questions, analyze information, and apply their understanding in different situations.
Supporting Communication and Language Development
In addition to academic tutoring, I have worked as a Spoken English and Grammar Instructor at a professional aviation training institute.
This experience allowed me to develop effective methods for helping students improve:
- Spoken English
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
- Reading comprehension
- Writing skills
- Communication confidence
I understand that strong communication skills play an important role in overall academic success. Whether a student is preparing presentations, writing assignments, or participating in classroom discussions, effective communication can make a significant difference.
For this reason, I often incorporate language development into my lessons whenever appropriate.
Teaching Students Around the World
Teaching through online platforms has given me the opportunity to work with students from different countries and educational backgrounds.
I have successfully tutored students from the United States and the United Kingdom, helping them adapt to curriculum requirements while building strong academic foundations.
Working with international learners has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons, communicate clearly, and support students with diverse learning needs.
It has also helped me appreciate the importance of flexibility and personalized instruction in today’s learning environment.
A Personalized Approach to Student Success
One of the principles that guides my teaching is the belief that every child learns differently.
Some students learn quickly through discussion, while others need visual explanations, structured practice, or additional reinforcement. My role is to understand how each student learns best and create lessons that support their growth.
I regularly monitor progress through:
- Assessments
- Quizzes
- Worksheets
- Revision sessions
- Informal discussions
- Continuous feedback
This allows me to identify learning gaps early and provide targeted support before challenges become larger obstacles.
I also believe that maintaining open communication with students and parents is essential. When everyone works together, students are more likely to feel supported and motivated.
Building Skills That Last Beyond School
While academic achievement is important, I believe education should help students develop skills that will benefit them throughout life.
My lessons focus on helping students develop:
- Confidence
- Independent learning habits
- Critical-thinking skills
- Communication abilities
- Study skills
- Time-management habits
- Personal responsibility
I want students to become active participants in their learning rather than passive recipients of information.
By helping students develop these skills early, I prepare them for future academic success and lifelong learning.
The Students I Enjoy Working With Most
I particularly enjoy working with:
- IB Middle Years students
- IGCSE learners in Grades 6–10
- Students who need help with English communication
- Learners struggling with Science concepts
- Children who benefit from personalized attention
- Students seeking stronger study habits
I also work well with students who may lack confidence or feel overwhelmed by schoolwork. Through patience, encouragement, and structured guidance, I help them gain confidence and steadily improve their performance.
Pooja Patel’s Role at My Tuition Hub Academy
As an educator at My Tuition Hub Academy, I am committed to helping students build strong academic foundations while developing confidence and a genuine love for learning.
Whether I am teaching Mathematics, Science, English, Spoken English, or supporting students with assignments and exam preparation, my focus remains the same: helping learners understand concepts clearly, communicate effectively, and believe in their own abilities.
I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing through the learning process.
For me, teaching is not just about improving grades. It is about helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
